Rest and Create Panorama

Rest and Create

The bed I spend hours at a time in resting, creating, and simply breathing sits in the middle. With the sheets covered in different paints and marks of pens that hold proof of the art and poems I love to create. The restless nights of rustled covers and soft sounds that I tend to hate. And how could I forgot about the grand times I've had when lounging around, listening to the steady beat of my new favorite song, keeping track of the second until my favorite lines.

It smells like a home inside a home with wax melting on the nightstand cluttered by things so specifically me. The art I push myself to create, the long forgotten poems I need to finish, and the glasses I struggle to find at 6am. The funny thing is that's only the nightstand but, you know it's my nightstand. It holds pages and pages of thoughts I had and pieces I've hated. It's the unofficial home to the memories I've captured and poems I dream of performing.

Belongings that have no real place to sit stay on my shelf. The abundance of Star Wars toys I have is so embarrassing that I put them on display. I gotta make sure that everyone can tell just how much of a nerd I am and that my favorite character is Darth Vader so, please stop talking to me about Luke. I want you to see the books I've been given and have read time after time just to be sure that I didn't miss anything the first time. Then there's my recored player that sits at the bottom waiting to spin and make music again. It reminds me to keep my wheels turning.

Reflection

This project was super frustrating to me because it took me so long to actually be able to line everything up the way it needed to be lined up. Other than that I thought it was pretty fun to put together especially because I got to use my room as my inspiration, which makes sense because I do almost all of my creating and things in my room. I chose to use pictures of my sisters in it doing things I like to do so that it wasn't just a plain panorama of my room.
