Chalk Banner
Over the past three days we worked on using symbolism to make a flag or banner. Day one we introduced ourselves and started sketching ideas that we could put on our final banner. Day two we started working on the final draft on paper. We included many aspects from everyone's personality. after we completed the final draft we were outside transferring what we had drawn on paper to a much larger rectangle on the concrete.
Brainstorming was a slow process to being with because none of us knew each other and we felt awkward. By the end of the first day we had many strange ideas and no idea of how they would go together. Eventually we all got more comfortable and started bouncing ideas off of each other. Some of the things we had on our original paper were Kermit the Frog, a raven, a paintbrush, a Nintendo switch sign, and a volleyball. We came up with these by just saying things that we do inside of and out of school.I picked Kermit because I like spicy memes. The color choices we made were simply based off what color said object is in real life.
I would say that we worked pretty well as a team. Nobody argued or thought any ideas were stupid. We all easily agreed on things to put in the banner because none of us knew exactly how rethought it should look. We ended up with Kermit painting many different things on a canvas. The canvas had stuff from all of our lives and personalities. It was really interesting to see what we would come up with in the end because to begin with we had many strange ideas that didn't really work together. We all had a few things in common so that was cool as well. At the end we added the quote "Wubba lubba dub dub" from Rick and Morty.
